2 main options-
- employed by someone- advertising, publisher, newspaper, magazine, editorial, blogs and website, gaming agencies- video games, teaching, agencies
or
- · freelance- you are your own boss- do everything above but you have commissions- online shops, Etsy, society 6, illustration fairs, publish books- salary from the advance, licensing, private commissions, workshops, talks and panel at convention, sponsored content on YouTube or social media platforms
- · need to present on social media- golden rules
- · have several incomes- freelance- rely on other sources when one is weak- not all incomes are active at once- have 3 incomes- no more to complex and overwhelming
- · same money to invest in opportunities- self-publishing –online shop
- · passive incomes-a method to get money without doing anything extra- selling work for a few years
- · balance your life between social media life and clients and commissions
- · social media is hard to maintain- easy to post- but hard to be consistent and good content- acts as a link for people to buy your work- worth investing lots of time in it- Instagram, blogging, YouTube
