Task 8- Creative CV

I have never produced a creative CV before so i conducted some research using Pinterest to get a few ideas about what and not to include, and to seek some inspiration  regarding the design of it. My Pinterest board is linked below.

I really like how this example is its not only a CV but you can tear the top off and it becomes a business card. CV's tend to be quite large and difficult for clients to carry around, so by doing this allows clients to keep hold of your card. This is both a rememberable and practical example of how to create a CV which is memorable and portable. A great idea I could try and include in my designs.

I think creating a CV which is interesting is a title way of getting noticed. I realise that this is a business card but the 3D element to his card is interesting. Because of this feature the clients will build the chair, meaning that they spend more time looking at your card, meaning they are more likely to remember you, because of your interesting promotional items.

I really like the icons used on this CV, although very simple, but made interesting when printed onto coloured textured paper. I think that icons can communicate more information that a sentence and are visually more appealing, an idea I will definitely try and incorporate into my own CV.

I really like the personalisation this CV, the hand made quality and illustration adds more personality to a usually very strict and professional piece of text. All though very colloquial this CV is an example of how to use your illustrations in your CV whilst still retaining a professional quality.

For a first attempt at a creative CV I don't think its too bad. However, I honestly didn't plan this, I didn't produce any thumbnails to test of out some designs, instead i had a very basic plan, and the used previously made images and placed them where necessary. So basically I think I can do a better job of this CV, I think if I had planned it better and worked out where the text was going to be placed, as I don't think it flows very well.

This said however, the information I gathered while conducting my research has been hugely information, and my Pinterest board will be a useful resource for the future when I rework my CV.
